In general, it is good to start your trip in Ho Chi Minh City with its dense flight network, then you can travel all the way up north to Hanoi and Halong Bay. Take a 3-5 days break in Laos then proceed overland or by flight to Cambodia where you can spend about 5 days to discover Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. From Cambodia it is just another 45 minutes to return to Saigon for your flight home.
