    This morning, you will leave the bustling of Saigon to My Tho which is 70km south of Saigon on the upper Mekong river bank for embarkation. Get on the Jahan Cruise, enjoy a cocktail reception at the Funnel Bar and Lounge before a welcome dinner on the Sun Deck. The cruise drops anchor outside My Tho. Overnight on board

  • Day 2

    Cai Be - Sa Dec - Chau Doc (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

    You wake up early to enjoy an invigorating Tai Chi lesson and morning tea/ coffee. After that, embark on a traditional sampan to visit Cai Be floating market. On the way, you can also observe how rice paste, rice cookies and coconut candies are made as well as the Longan fruit drying process. Continue to visit an ancient house with lush fruit orchards. Head to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, the cruise will sail you to Sa Dec. Upon arrival, take a traditional sampan to Binh Thanh canals. Meet, greet some villagers and see how water hyacinths are grown and processed into natural fibre floor mats and rattan baskets by these skillful locals.     Chau Doc - border crossing (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

    Enjoy breakfast at the Dining Hall and then visit a vibrant local market near an ancient temple before moving to the quay for a boat excursion to floating villages and rustic catfish farms. From there, a bunch of interesting facts about the breeding of Basa fish are provided to you. You can either choose to relax, enhance your culinary skills by participating in our hands-on cooking classes or tour the ship with our impeccable Cruise Director. “The Highway Blues” beckons as we float into a state of mild bliss caused by the hypnotic murmur of the ship’s engine.     Note: Due to high water in the Mekong Delta between July and December the following program applies: This morning, you will start your excursion on a local boat (sampan) and discover the border town of Tan Chau. Firstly, the journey takes you to the “evergreen” islands where you will be thrilled to learn the life of the locals.

    The inhabitants of these islands live on houses poised on high stilts – a centuries-old tradition in this part of the Mekong Delta. We stop to visit a fish farm located in the Tan Chau canal – this farm consists of floating houses and the villagers make their living by cultivating fish. You continue by boat to Tan Chau pier, disembark here and stroll around this colorful local market with lots of regional products. You return to the cruise Ship after your market visit.

  • Day 4

    Phnom Penh (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

    After breakfast, the tour kicks off with a comprehensive lecture on Cambodia’s modern history. Then, join a city tour around this vibrant city with sites include the dazzling white and gold edifice of the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and witnessing exceptionally beautiful Khmer craft at the National Museum. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. You will then visit the Genocide Museum and the Killing Field in town. Return to the ship and take a rest on your balcony or lounge.     Phnom Penh - Kampong Cham (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

    This early morning, the cruise departs to the little known Chong Koh silk weaving village. Make a short visit there before the ship continues to sail through the Mekong’s tranquil villages, exhilarating river life and sun-hardened fishermen on their shift boats. From there, touring around the rural Angkor Ban village and you will be transported back a hundred years into an era unsullied by modernity. In addition, you will also feel overwhelmed by the unbridled warmth of the villagers

  • Day 6

    Kampong Cham - Wat Hanchey (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

    This morning, you wake up early and visit the pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey. Make your own way to the top by taking a motor-taxi or climb 291 steps. We even get to engage in light banter with some of the monks in the area before returning to the Ship to witness a blessing ceremony performed by orange-clad local monks. Then, cruise towards Kampong Cham to visit Wat Nokor which was built within the ruins of an ancient temple. On the way back to the ship, stop by an orphanage and have to maneuver a 2-km rickety bamboo bridge. Balance your body and overnight on board

  • Day 7

    Kampong Cham - Kampong Chhnang - Tonle Sap (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

    In the early morning, the cruiser sets sail towards Kampong Chhnang on the Tonle River where you will see Cambodia’s ‘waterworld’ where everything is on stilts balanced on water rich soil. From there, take a motorboat excursion to the landing, followed by a short bus trip to see the Khmer-styled pottery at the Aundaung Russey village. Afterwards, continue to take an adventurous motorboat excursion to the wetlands, floating houses and fish farms in the region. Lunch included. Your floating sanctuary will then cruise gently, in the afternoon, along the narrow and meandering Tonle River. In the evening, a sumptuous spread will be served. And for the big surprise – bring along your dance shoes and learn to jiggle the Cambodian way with our staff doubling up as dance instructors. (If you can’t dance, do not fret.     Tonle Sap - Siem Reap (Breakfast)

    Tonle Sap boasts the largest freshwater lake in Asia with abundant birdlife. On the way transfer to Siem Reap, don’t miss the stillness of the water and capture great photos. The water level varies a great deal according to the time of the year and the amount of rainfall recorded. Thus, minor changes to the itinerary may occur during different seasons.

    Your trip with our Heritage Line cruise liner ends with final destination, Siem Reap – the city of fabled Angkor temple complex. Farewell to the cruise and capture long-lasting great moments on board. Cross the Tonle Lake at dawn and around 9:00, disembark at the Siem Reap Port for onward coach transfer to the drop off point in town
