  Today, you will have a glimpse of Hanoi’s highlights with excursions to Ho Chi Minh complex (including Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and One Pillar Pagoda), the Temple of Literature, the Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarters with Dong Xuan Market. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy an enticing traditional Water Puppet Show before returning to your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

• Day 2

  Hanoi – Mai Chau Sightseeing – Mai Chau (L, D)

  Pick up and transfer to Mai Chau, Hoa Binh Province, which is 135km away from Hanoi. The region is entirely away from Hanoi’s hustle and enveloped with beautiful rice paddies and green mountains. It’s also home to White Thai ethnic group. There, you will visit Mai Chau Valley and enjoy local lunch with finest rice wine. Following that, take a bicycle trip to explore the village. Dinner and overnight in a homestay in Mai Chau.

• Day 3

  Mai Chau – Hanoi – Night Train to Lao Cai (B, L)

  Today, your morning destinations include a drive to the delightful jungle, hiking to Muong ethnic village on the beautiful plateau with the stunning view over Da River, and Xa Linh village, a home land of Mong people. Return to Mai Chau for lunch. After that, drive back to Hanoi by our driver. Upon arrival, have a hearty dinner at a local restaurant on your own account. Prepare for next trip to Sapa, Lao Cai province by a night train. Overnight on train (Deluxe wooden AC sharing cabin for 4 persons).

• Day 4

  Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Sapa (B, L)

  Arrive in Sapa in the early morning. After breakfast, join a wonderful trip to Y Linh Ho where you will trek through rice terraces and follow Muong Hoa Stream to reach Lao Chai Village, the main residential area of Black H’mong village. You will then visit Ta Van village, home to Dzay ethnic group by trekking 9km in 4 hours. Our driver will pick you at Ta Van Bridge back to the town for lunch. The rest of the day is free. Dinner on your own and overnight in Sapa.

• Day 5

  Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Hanoi (B)

  Today you will visit Cat Cat village, home to Black H’mong people near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. You can see locals’ daily life activities and visit the Hydraulic Power Station built by French which can be reached by trekking about 2 hours along 2.5km. Free until transfer time by our shuttle luxury van in the afternoon back to Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel. Trip ends.
